The proposition
This is not a general news site with a weather page. It exists because a single forecast number is wrong for most of this region — a county here can span 4,800 vertical feet — and because after Helene, river levels became the most-wanted weather information in Western North Carolina and nobody served them well.
The result is an audience that arrives with intent, at a moment when they are about to spend money on the consequences of the weather.

Weather-triggered targeting
Campaigns can be bound to live conditions from the National Weather Service and USGS, so you pay to appear when your work is about to be needed rather than on a flat schedule.

Advertising stops during life-threatening warnings
During Tornado Warnings, Flash Flood Emergencies and any Extreme-severity alert, all advertising is suppressed site-wide. This is enforced in code, ahead of campaign selection, and cannot be bought around. It costs us our highest-traffic minutes, and we consider that the price of being trusted the rest of the time.
Editorial standards
- Advertising is always labelled and visually separated from forecast content.
- No interstitials, no popups, no autoplay audio or video.
- No advertising is placed inside an active alert, a flood warning, or a gauge readout.
- We do not accept creative that could be mistaken for a weather warning or an official notice.
- Reasonable competitive separation within a category on request.
